Clinical Supervision
My Approach
What to Expect in Our Sessions
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to supervision, so our time together shifts based on what you need that day. Sometimes I’ll step in as a teacher to share direct guidance, break down a specific intervention, or model a clinical skill. Other times, I’m here as a supportive counselor to help you unpack your own internal reactions, countertransference, or blind spots. Most often, we’ll work as peers and collaborators—brainstorming side-by-side to build your clinical confidence and independent reasoning.
Sometimes, We Bring Creativity into the Mix
We don't limit our sessions to standard clinical reviews or talking through case notes. Sometimes, I bring experiential artmaking directly into our virtual sessions to help you process the work on a non-verbal level. Whether we are sketching out a heavy countertransference reaction or using creative materials to decode a client's non-verbal behavior, you will learn how to use creativity with real clinical intention. This approach is especially powerful when learning how to meet clients where they are at, including adapting modalities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
